The invisible’s range is immense

2023
Kunstbezirk Stuttgart

Screen print on hand-mirrored glass, 160x42 cm

The format of the glass pane has my height and width: 42 cm shoulder width and 160 cm body height. The size of the screen print corresponds to an average-sized she-wolf's head, which has been placed at the average shoulder height of a she-wolf. A squatting position is necessary so that the viewer can look at him/herself in the mirror. The photo for the screen print was provided by the Freundeskreis freilebender Wölfe e. V. – as it is a female wolf, the measurements of a female animal were used for the positioning.

Artist’s text:

An everyday situation – almost.

Humans do not have a well-developed sense of smell. Her eyes and brain have to work harder.

When searching for clues, you have the opportunity to see the invisible. Sometimes you have to squat down to do it.

The wolf is. And you?
